MoMo from MTN Ghana Leadership Visits GhIPSS
A delegation from MobileMoney Limited (MoMo), MTN Ghana, led by its Chief Executive Officer, paid a working courtesy visit to the offices of Ghana Interbank Payment and Settlement Systems (GhIPSS). The team was welcomed by the GhIPSS Chief Executive Officer and members of the senior leadership team.
The visit provided an opportunity for both institutions to discuss ongoing initiatives within Ghana’s digital payments ecosystem and to reaffirm their commitment to collaboration. As a key infrastructure provider, GhIPSS continues to rely on strong partnerships with industry players such as MoMo to drive adoption and deepen trust in digital financial services across the country.
During the engagement, both teams reflected on the steady growth of Mobile Money Interoperability (MMI) and the role it continues to play in broadening access to seamless, connected digital payment services nationwide. The progress of MMI highlights the value of collaboration between Electronic Money Issuers and GhIPSS in advancing interoperable and inclusive payment options for Ghanaians.
GhIPSS reiterated its commitment to working closely with MoMo and all ecosystem participants to strengthen the efficiency, reach and impact of interoperable payment systems in support of Ghana’s digital transformation agenda.
